After signing up to "Free3BureauCreditReport.com" I realized it wasn't free. After doing some research I realized I did not want to use this company. I called to cancel as they state that you can do. When I called I received an automated message asking me to put my
Member ID number in and then prompted me through that I was cancelled. I called back to speak with a person because I was not comfortable with this. I was told by the Agent "Anna" that I was cancelled and that I had not and would not be charged. I still didn't feel comfortable so I looked again at my
paperwork I had printed when I signed up and saw another
member ID number. I called back and explained to that Agent "Joe" that I had just called and spoke with Anna and explained to him my previous discussion with Anna two minutes ago. I told him how I had asked Anna if everything was cancelled and she said yes and I told him I had another member ID# and gave that to him, he said okay
mame you are not cancelled I will cancel your membership and refund your money. Well why would Anna tell me my entire membership was cancelled if it wasn't. Why wouldn't she inform me that there is an additional
member ID number I needed to cancel as well. What a rip-off
So this is and how I figure they get away with these types of scams. When Anna addressed me at the beginning of our conversation she referred to her company as "Protect 24" when she ending the conversation she referred to it as "Privacy Matters" what they don't tell you is when you cancel you must cancel both
membership numbers otherwise you will continue being charges by one or the other. Just another important
peice of information the consumer needs to be made aware of.
