Just reviewed my end of year credit card purchases and notice a charge from privacy matters. Called my credit card company and they said call Privacy Matters. Privacy Matters said that my husband signed up through CLASSMATES.com. Funny thing, he did not know he did this. I guess he was tricked.

Now privacy matters says it is going to refund the 2 months he was charged (approx 40.00 total).

He is also going to cancel his classmates.com membership!!!!

I will be calling back and reporting this scam to my credit card also.

Is there no end to fraud!!!!!

Yes they got us too. Wife signed up for Classmates and boom, 2 charges for Privacy Matters for $19.95. I called PM and complained. They were very nasty. A few days later, the charges were removed, but here were 2 new charges on our card! Apparently this is $19.95 per month twice!. I asked Amex to undo the charges and to block these people from issuing new charges.

PM is supposed to prevent identity fraud. We need protection from them!!! COMPLAIN TO CLASSMATES.COM!!!!
