:( i just noticed a 16.95 charge on my credit card and once I found this website, I called the co and asked how this charge got on my credit card, they told me that when I check out my credit report and then cancled the 1.00 fee in the same day I was told that there was an offer of trial period for 10.00 for 7 days which I did'nt know about so they started to charge me 16.95 fee. I called the co and told them that this is FRAD!!!! They say they will refund the money and cancel the menbership. Be very careful of this company!!!!!

This co has broken into my bank account and taken 19.95 out per mo for several months. I thought the money was going to Ancestry.com. I have never heard of this co until I started investigating this. They are true IDENTITY THE IFS BEWARE

I too fell into the credit report but they are using freecreditreportsinstantly.com as a cover up so I pray that I get to them before they get to my account!!!!!

I had the same problem with Privacy Matters, but I didn't wait for them to give me a refund. I had my bank reverse the transaction. My bank also gave me my so-called account number with PMI, which I used to cancel my again, so-called membership. I then hit 0 to talk to a "customer service" rep, who BTW could barely speak English due to off-shore contracting. I gave the poor guy an earful, telling him and PMI never, ever to debit my account. The lesson from this whole experience is to beware of "integrated" offers that lurk on all sorts of websites. Unfortunately, we unsuspecting consumers accept many of these offers due to default buttons, and other deceptive trade practices. Be careful even when going to the FTC sanctioned free credit report sites.
